The DC, Maryland, Virginia Salsa Scene
The Capital Congress would not be possible without the tremendous help and support from the DC, Maryland, and Virginia Salsa scene. This event is an opportunity for everyone to be an ambassador for the DMV. While the CapitalCongress is an annual event, it's possible to dance Salsa in the DC area all year! You will find some of the places that we dance Salsa in DC, Maryland, and Virginia listed on the left. While we keep this information as up-to-date as possible, it is always recommended to check before going! ClaveKazi Dance School
The ClaveKazi(CK) Dance school has produced more dancers in the DC area than any other school. Salsa, Mambo, Bachata, Zouk, and West Coast swing classes taught weekly at the studio located at 411 New York Avenue. The CK training team program has created top notch dancers, many of which have gone on to become instructors, team directors, and performers. It's always a treat to have ClaveKazi in the house!

Every 2nd and 4th Saturday of the month, the dancers of DC gather at the Mr. Mambo social. DC's longest running Salsa social, at the DC Dance Collective, 4908 Wisconsin Avenue. Great people, great music, and awesome dancing on 2 different floors. You don't want to miss a Mr. Mambos social!
