MamboRio - Fernando

From Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, Fernando is the co-director of the MamboRio dance company and organizer of the Rio Salsa Congress. Fernando's dance background began at the age of 9 with ballet, jazz, hip-hop and brazilian ballroom. Since then he has performed choreographies around the world. Fernando even lived in China, and the Dominican Republic for over 2 years, teaching and dancing.

Extremely passionate about Latin dance, Fernando is recognized worldwide for this creativity, musicality and unique style. Together with his wife and dancer partner, Nayara, they have toured the world, been contracted to perform on cruiselines, congresses, and traveled extensively throughout Brazil.

MamboRio - Nayara

Nayara, from the beautiful city of Rio de Janereiro, Brazil, is the daughter of a musician, her father a trained pianist. She grew up in a home surrounded by music, and at the age of 7 she began her own career in dance, through ballet and jazz. Trained in theatrical dance, Nayara has performed around the world. Today, Nayara is widely respected as an authority figure in Ladies' styling.

Together this awesome couple forms MamboRio Dance Company, and we are excited to have them appear for the first time in the USA at the Capital Congress. Their performance repertoire includes Mambo, Zouk, Forro, Samba Gafiera, Bachata, Salsa and more!
